Marathon
2011-12
On Saturday, October 1, from 8:30-12:00, students and families of All Saints Catholic School will participate in their Walk for Faith
as part of the annual Minnesota Marathon for Non-public Education.

We hope to have a beautiful day, with a great turn-out of families! “The Marathon” is a fun and effective way to raise funds, and public awareness for our school.

Since 1974, Marathon events have given students, school families, faculty members and others an opportunity to show their school pride while generating important financial support. The money raised by the All Saints students goes directly towards the school budget. Students are currently collecting donations and prayer intentions to be offered during the weekly school Mass.

Parishioners are welcome to support the students with a financial contribution and/or a prayer intention which can be turned
into the parish office through October 19th.

INCENTIVES:
In addition, there will be prizes along the way as announced by Mrs. Meskill. Every student who brings in their first donation
of any amount will receive one ticket towards these prizes.
If the Personal Goal of $140 is reached the student will receive:

An out of uniform pass
-
One ticket for the prize drawing
-
For every $50 over their goal, they will receive an additional prize ticket
If the Classroom Goal is met, the classroom students and teachers will determine a classroom reward.
** The first class to make their goal will receive a popcorn party and extra recess!
If the Grade Level Goal is met, all students at that grade level will plan a special lunch menu for their grade level only,
served on white linen table clothes by renowned Chef Bill Chinn
If the All School Goal is met, teachers will be IN uniform and students will be OUT of uniform for a day on Oct 19.
PRIZES:
Each student will decide which prize they would like to "go for" by putting their ticket(s) in that prize’s bucket.

- A certificate for going to the front of the lunch line on a day of their choice
- A certificate for free seconds on the day of their choice, K-8 grades
MATCHING GIFTS: Parents and sponsors who have made pledges to students may be eligible for company matching gifts. Check with your employer to see if your gift is eligible for a match. Click on the All Saints' Matching Gift Brochure to see the companies that have participated in the past. Your company’s matching gift form can be obtained either from your firm’s website or your Human Resource office. When turning in a matching gift form, it is most helpful if your donation and the form are turned in together. You may turn these in with all other Marathon Donations. Thanks for helping us to procure extra funds in this manner!
