After sending out our reopening plan, parents submitted questions. The questions were answered through 2 parent Zoom sessions. The sessions were put together to create one presentation.

and also please know I know there's a big announcement today and depending on what the governor doesn't she does another executive order that may have implications + but we will follow the Archdiocese guidelines or suggestions are they will give us guidelines whatever after his order or whatever he decides today after that comes out then we all wait for the Arts I cease to see if anything needs to change so we'll go ahead and get started questions into the same areas as the opening plan reopening plan wasn't so was calendar we may start a little bit of Service drop off just to get through the temp text and well-adjusted is needed for mass at this time you know we're still talking about how that's going to work Friday will go really is to have all students come to mass with us once a week and it kind of really depends on their schedules on Rebecca schedule so they're still kind of working on that but that is their goal if we cancel that we would do a livestream for the classes he could not actually be present in masked as for other people being mad math first of all if there was extra room in at math I would offer. prayers to the families were doing distant learning so they could come and join us for Mass they would be socially distance if there was room beyond that you know during the week there maybe opportunities for parents to come prisoners but again they would be socially just in from our students they wouldn't be together they would have a specific section in that to just sit in I think that was all with a mask the social emotional health people are worried about the mask and as I mentioned in the newsletter is if the students are presented to it in a positive way it'll be much easier for them we yell I've seen a lot of children wearing them so I don't think it's totally new for a lot of people but we'll just try to make it for them I was in a meeting on Monday and a psychologist suggested parents play a guessing game with their children wearing the mask to guess what emotion they had and just because she said there's so much of your emotions you can see through eyes so they can and she's a chance can really pick up on that easy so just something so they know cuz people are worried about how they're not to see their friends finally out of the necklace either friends yo faces we had a student in here today and he said right away so I can see your spot you're smiling but it was her eyes changed and they recognized it right away so that's up to you to help them so they do kind of understand emotions behind them and also the governor's order it just stayed how K-8 students are allowed to wear the shield instead of a face covering so if that's something you're really concerned with that would be an option the next section is about one more thing if any other questions pop up during best instead of putting them in the chat if you could go back to the Google Doc that I have sent out in my newsletter and Adam to that and we'll add I'm later just we have so many to go through right now or not going to be looking at the chat the students oh sew in Middle well it actually all grades of students are going to be together and somebody asked the middle school would be possible to request certain students be put together a lot goes into the class list and the middle school. Students are divided for a biomass group there's a unlevel and advanced level so that's one group that can't change a lot so there's a good chance that that'll be the group of students that there was during the days we're trying to keep them in one throughout the day and then somebody else about the pot at the on escapod Siri basically keeping them with the same students together so they're volume to two other people are is less so try to keep them safe safer that way one of those question was about tables versus desk we have purchased additional gas for the third grade classroom size the class there is one of my classes at this time and we just felt the deaths would be better and be easier to space them out then put them together but the fact that are used for FTP + 4 is at night tables are needed so we can in realistically we can't afford to purchase a lot of expensive but we really do need the tables also in the other rooms or other prep we have purchased a desk field for each student that just sit in the classroom with tables and I believe they are 20 Abraham there 21 in hi and they have three sides around them and they're lightweight enough that the students can fold them up and carry him from class to class will you be using the same one they won't be using each other so they'll have like one for them and they'll disinfected also well I'll please plan to meet in person even if public schools are closed that's y'all that's our plan right now unless the governor comes out with something early but that is what there's a couple questions but if you if people opt to either not attend kindergarten or homeschool if their admission could be deferred a year and your father y'all what I know what I put in here if by some miracle vaccine becomes available and all restrictions are lifted during the school year we would have All Families to enroll at that point you don't meet your maker Maxim so there may not be a spot but again I really can't foresee that this going away anytime soon so I think it was a would be okay but if people do you know I didn't roll we can't necessarily save their spots we could call him if we're getting full and just to see what they want to do but they just for my fists just leaving principal position we would have we would want to enroll students so I also student becomes LR if they have to I've assumed they made with covet could they go to distant learning and it'll be depending on how long they're going to be out I mean if it's just strep throat it'll be just treated normally as a regular absence with you getting your work we have in the past either to a sibling RZR the next day if it is due to a family member having cold it and they are advised to quarantine they yes table switch to distant learning for 2 beyond that would make sense for them to do that Bandai will group and obviously one will be happening at this point unless things drastically change small group lessons will still happen as I mentioned we're going to put a outside so not only will they have their license but they'll get a little fresh air and missile death doll husband is building like Plex is building plexiglass glass barrier that will be between the students just because they're wet with the fan with instruments and stuff and then like the chairs everything will be sanitized between the groups what's the weather is permitting any longer and if mrs. dusek is still teaching in the classrooms versus in the music then misses ask doll could go in that space to do a lesson so that should be available there's questions about the six feet apart in the classroom for social distancing AMD and the CDC states 61 feasible in the classroom rules are a little to school things are coming out in a little bit different than what is another they're all going to be it's kind of sad cuz as teachers we go back to oh my gosh. going back to the old way where this kids are all lined up as you know my password in my day but unfortunately with that's more detrimental to them then being closer together in the classroom B will the streets be taken outside for lessons yeah we were talking about that however was distant learning they will be recording the lessons that unless we find a way that they can record them out why'd they can but they can always take him outside for Leo when they do their work but during wartime study hall when they do their quiet reading time so they'll be taking them out in all various times throughout the day as much as pause singing If mrs. du Sac if it's a nice day if she goes outside and she can take him socially distance she can socially just sent to students outside they can go outside and see y'all the way she's working on different ways she can do lessons in the classroom different things she can teach and now they still could use like y'all the sticks to do the Rhythm do the but then they just would be disinfected after while so music will look a little bit different then we start talking about the pods a little bit so each classroom will stay together throughout the day they will go to lunch together they'll have the bathroom find out every since at the same time they are fired together and all their specialized so they can keeping them together the 10 student transfer guidelines isn't necessarily for school in the information we've read for school they just talked about keeping the students and pause or cohort some some of the sites, CO Parts to keep them all together they do necessarily say how many Sooners should be in each one so they don't actually have a number and then for supplies the supplies the students will not share supplies they will have their own does supplies just go to the teacher and the teacher y'all your break your pencil here's a new pencil y'all some of the supplies like brands of pencils as soon as I have to bring a dozen pencils while we don't want a dozen pencils and a pencil box beginning of the year so they will get probably too and then when they need cuz I need more a teacher will just take from the supply and give them but none of those supplies the students aren't they bring them and and like our friend since there will be a couple supplies added to the supply list or I'll just put it in the newsletter that the students will need for art since they will be having heart in the classroom and they'll be their supplies also okay so distant learning wondering can you switch from distant learning to in person and yes we would just work on when a good time for the transition would be would work on that was a family and they will come back we are hopefully we'll have enough devices tomorrow for distant learning is really going to depend on how my people do to a distant learning I've ordered more iPads mr. Steak has ordered more laptops it's just going to kind of depend on the knee when we did this to learning this spring we borrow just over a hundred devices out we lentil and that's like less that's less than 1/3 of our students at needed so will Justin format be similar as flasher yes or no I mean there there's that things are very similar they are still use the younger grade seesaw the older grades however we will be putting together packets for them everything is not going to be done on the device in the package at this time of kind of assuming Monday would be a good day that the packets would be ready so p pick up the packet if you're doing just a learning and then if this is wheat or Beyond you drop off the previous week's work and then pick up the next week's worth also we will have one of her realtor Richmond teacher our goal is to have a teacher assigned to every student so then they be the ones checking in with them on a daily basis just to make sure they didn't have any questions are they are clear on the assignments or what the lesson was just and then checking in with the parents once a week to make sure everything was going okay the grading at this time will not be different for distant learning versus in for and learning it would just with her grading system we kind of have to keep it the same it went quite work to do two different grading systems we are looking into possibly if there's a test that the chi you know wants to make sure young to have the kids come into school for maybe we can figure out a time parents to bring the students into school where they could just be socially Dustin's take the test and then will be the same with our nwea map testing for 3rd to 8th grade for a distant learning students where they would command at a designated time take the test so they can have that so we can have that data so that what we're going to be doing with videoing lessons and what are the questions can they can or will last videos be live so we've decided that the videos will not be live to the students who are distant learning because a teacher's day can fluctuate so much you may want to start your lesson essay your math lesson but something's going to happen or you're in a good discussion all of a sudden it's 110 and you haven't started yet we don't want students sitting at home looking at a screen waiting for Holly on the distant or for the video to come on so the lessons will be videotaped and they'll be uploaded let's I will pick a time let's see if it's we haven't decided that day so then the student has ER either work on their lessons that night or the next day so they'll be both y'all they would GB a day behind of the students in the classroom which is fine and plus you'll last names when the teacher is done with a lesson your kids have questions right away things need to be clarified so for them to try to you know work the video stuff and take care of the classroom the kids in the classroom would be kind of stressful for them hey get me talk about that the next question was about possibly if we have to go to distant learning and parents have to work would we be able to do the zoom sessions in the evening this would be a little difficult if it's something I'd have to discuss with the teachers they all have families also so they they have been last spring they worked all day and we did have some evenings out in the evening hours but it can end up being stressful for them cuz they were missing out on their family time after working all day and then they were having evening hours to an end semi hard year for everyone but it's it's not going to be easy for them to so we kind of need to be respectful of their family time also okay open side effect question so I will one platform be used in at this time we are planning on using seesaw for K4 and that be more for the lesson delivery not as much for the assignments and then Google classroom for Middle School at this time for distant learning at the beginning of the year where only some students are doing distant learning The Specialist will not be part of that just because the specialist I can be moving from room to room to be kind of difficult for them to videotape a less than when they have to bring their stuff with them or me starson if he's outside is going to hard for him to videotape a lessons at this point B if you choose distant learning specialist would not be part of that learning at this time if we all go to distant learning things may be at a couple families asked about a hybrid where they yell group of students enrolled at eight days of in person and distant learning or would they be what hybrid be an option for those who want some social interaction at this time that isn't something we're going to offer yes and it would be very confusing to students after like okay you can go to school day a week but then they know the rest of the kids are there and got to go and back and forth and then the hybrid model when we get the survey that was not something many people want we're going to settle just picked in person or distant learning at this point stop and next up we have mrs. pastures who has been amazing this summer helping us out with all the help stuff thanks hopefully it doing well at home I just want to go through a few of the health part of cuz we had some questions about and try to put a little answer to that the first one I had was a family travels. for 14 days after returning the Minnesota currently here in Minnesota we do not have any kind of Spell quarantine State protocol for people traveling in and out of the state I'm sure you seen in the news and everywhere else changing an end is ever-changing so I right now we don't have that so we wouldn't require that but that could be something that would change it especially if our situation here in Minnesota changes so that might be something I could change for us the next question was if a family member is positive what is the school process for moving all the children in that house student seemed to be quarantined for 14 days we would probably try to either do that it kind of depends on if anybody else get sick during that whole time but we probably would try to put them in some kind of a distant learning or at least on a it's like he's trying to do some form of either getting in the homework head up it would just kind of depend on what was going on with a family you know if some kind of depends on who was sick the next we had was Ragweed allergy season will soon be starting and last for about a week or two until we get that hard Frost how will the school address those who suffer from allergies as many symptoms are very similar but the runny nose sneezing coughing congestion headache body aches fatigue all of those which yes they all are to the covid-19 symptoms and then they wanted to know if we would be that no child with allergies would be single that they would not be singled out but NBA show is going to be releasing some more strict guidelines for us they were waiting for the Governor's thing today and they we will be releasing more of us school on exclusion and kind of how we can decipher as School nurses to what is kind of going on you know our normal illnesses in the fall vs. Mexico sometimes I feel currently though I'm covid-19 symptoms that could be explained by a current condition with such as allergies we would regard those has allergies and as long as that child is we know that they have a history of how do you use and that's how the regular symptoms are and they haven't had anything that was different if they always have a runny nose always have a t i we would realize that is normal for that if for any reason any of those symptoms are different they come up with a different something that they don't usually have we would just ask you to seek some medical advice on that so that a doctor can determine that other one of the things that summer listed in that question was about a cough and any kind of persistent cough is really a number one a number one covid-19 something that we would actually exclude from school and that has to do with the droplet there's droplets coming out of their mouth and that's more of a risk even though we have our Macon and everything and we just want to really cut down on anything like that so I would actually need to stay home so I but that was a good question how do you differentiate between someone who has a common cold and coughing all day and someone who has covered symptoms as a fever is not always present with Cohen will someone with a cough a cooling system be asked to stay home and true that a negative test to be able to come back again is one of them and that is one that we will we will be excluding for print guidelines with covid-19 that if you had any symptoms that's if they have one symptom of an on setting new-onset cost or any what is a breast that is an automatic they need to stay at home or we would be sending them if they have any two of the following either a fever the chills muscle pain sore throat loss of teeth smell or any gastro symptoms that would be another explosion and DH is still reviewing this again and I know that they have told us I was going to call last week that they are will be updating this again this is very changing all the time it's pretty fluid so I'm expecting within now that the governor's come out that we'll have another set that's coming out they told us to be within the way and I can update that for you guys I'll give you guys all up to date with that the next question was if a child test positive for covid-19 that's a big question so when one of the things is that we know that the Minnesota Department of Health is actually going to be conducting and handling all of those contacts racing they want to really what's going on until they really taking over that part so they will be the one with a positive case that will be contacting either parents of students and we will be working with them but just so you know you maybe contacted by MGH and not necessarily the school about and ask him questions about that contact racing so so as for now they're kind of handling that they've been a little Thai clips about how much of a class that they would actually exclude so we're kind of hoping that they'll give us a little bit more up but so far they are just pretty much was told that they would be handling all of that we'll see if they have any more recommendations that's when I get closer to school since we share buffing with other schools to who may have implemented different safety guidelines would AllSaints potentially check pants at school at this point in time we would have decided that temperature checking will be done at school as they come in just because everyone is coming from different areas and I'm not really sure what the Lakeville School District busing going to look like for temperature taking taking what I do know is that Lakeville has told us that they are taking it at the door so I'm assuming that they're they're not taking it the bus although I'm not really sure again that could that might be different to so we'll just kind of watch what lakes phone is doing and see you there but so far the check is to do it at the door right when the kids come in the door and it won't be just me will be versus gas semi it'll be a bunch of us taking them so long should go pretty quickly so and then we'll also have probably a checklist with that too on that parents would have to go through an internet just think about every morning make sure they don't have any symptoms is there any possibility about Coba testing will be done on site if anyone in the school exhibit any symptoms and is there a protocol in place if that occur does and if so what can the state require mandatory on-site testing I have not heard too much about this so far they are not talking about doing any kind of school-wide ancova testing anything like that I know some other people have mentioned that there's down new at-home testing that's going on that could possibly be used but at this time there's no protocols in place there's nothing Statewide mandated so I have feeling that that might not be for a little bit just because we were just getting really ramping up the up with the testing with supplies and with Labs being ready to even handle those tight the volume so I'm it'll be more on this to come so but I just went over face coverings somebody asked what is allowed to be face mask for the kids mdh has told us that face coverings are paper or disposable mask off mask a scarf a bandana a religious face covering and that is really referring to primarily other religions where they wear the big scarves and stuff some of those types of stars can be actually use in for a face mask two depending on which ones they're using and then a neck gaiter the only thing about the neck gaiter is that most of those are all I'm just one layer so it would be required to either full. Over on to make that a two-layer so that there's really two layers for the kids to do have enough protection on that only other thing then also with us officials that misses Margarita at an earlier was that if your child is having difficulties with that face mask the face shield could be an option also and the biggest thing I think with face coverings for you guys to is just didn't know that it is kind of a big deal to getting the kids the right fit so make sure you getting a tire size what if they need a child plays one of their older getting in a adults one it's been hard to find tile place ones that are disposable I've been looking myself just make sure we have a few we have some here but those are kind of difficult to find so just to let you know we're hopeful and then there is a lot more coming out in the stores at target cells done in a child-sized and Runners at Costco tonight they actually have been there in a child so you might want to check those out those are all alarm clocks so I'm that I had found so if you have any questions about that you can just let us know is there a specific dress code for those or is there some leniency giving for non-offensive characters are cartoon figures we want no offensive ones I seen some really cute ones this week with summer school there's some cat faces and and the kids were really happy to show us their new master so am I so it was kind of nice to see everybody had very different ones was very cute so they need to be appropriate for school will facials be yours for the teachers yes we do have fish eels we are currently trialling a bunch of different in seeing which one's the teachers like better so summer school has been trialling those and so hopefully I will see more of those and I really do feel that some of them need to see their face when they're set directions to auction and for other reason to be easier to see that do Catholic schools have to follow the complete mask mandate even if other illnesses increase because of Massachusetts yes the executive order 2074 that was released it talks about in the 20 in the it talks about the Minnesota sports wear face coverings in indoor businesses in an outdoor public settings and they do have a definition for those businesses which is private sector and to eat and nonprofit entities that is private schools in the requirement reads as required for all students staff and anyone present in any kindergarten through 12th school building or any district offices or writing on school transfer vehicle and the reason we do that is to provide a consistent and safe environment for students and staff and that requirement applies to kindergarteners the Archdiocese is also there behind the mask mandate appreciative and encouraging The Mask use and want us to use the best for promoting Community Health so they're behind that too the last one is that I have is that on some cleaning for somebody asked if the school has enough play spice yes we do have stocked up right away and we have some music server and shoe cleaner which Builder built hospital-grade the nurse will use those and we have plenty of hand sanitizer right now I know that disinfectant wipes were added to the school list we kind of did that in hopes that those would be back up in Supply right now I'm not sure it's going to happen but we had another month here so hopefully they will we do hope that those come back up there a little bit easier and teachers are used to using them so if you find them there like right now so did any of those. But we understand Kathy thanks a lot okay so now we're going to go on to reset an outdoor. I am and the first question has to do with me a few classrooms that don't have Windows and tomatoes wondering what might be done for the kids and the teachers and their dogs are their special seasonal lamps that might be brought in we haven't looked at that this time you're on the past we have students and teachers in these room hasn't been an issue however Arts and Music coming into the room play will be in the room a little bit longer until kids have recess how will this happen so if they didn't they reopening plan the class teachers will take their students out for recess to keep the learning pots together so and so will still have an assigned time so instead of the students going to recess before or after lunch and I'll try and be staggered you'll like good morning early afternoon so they'll be out there by themselves or in there with their group instead of all of them out there mixing up the next section is Paris Mission Partners in and this time we are really going to be limiting the number of people that comes through the door and this is something bad was or is recommended by CDC mdh and so on we really want parents to drop off to pick up their students in the drop-off and pick-up line and will be staggering the times for pickup and will probably do look by alphabet the easiest however I will be sending out a little survey just to ask parents do you need a specific time I know if one friend sensor is one family who needs to get one of their students just certain place for an event or for a sport or practice we can switch them to earlier time so we'll we'll kind of adjust that and we'll ask parents to also if if they come early kind of just park in the parking lot until it's your time because the kids won't be out there and they'll just know that if you pull up it's just going we're going to have to send you around anyway so we'll have to be kind of very much following mad and then we will Mark the sidewalk luckily there's squares out there so it's kind of like you can stand in this square and then this where it will kind of be favoring the squares to kind of have y'all stay in Little groups family groups the social distance so that's what we'll be doing this at we will not be asking your inviting anybody and for any type of presentation Science Museum and different things to be put on hold so we can kind of just minimize the number of Dallas coming in and out of the building funerals what's happening with funerals at this time luncheons have been suspended so and funerals are less than they used to be so really the bathroom they're using the bathrooms upstairs they're not coming downstairs the doors are closed let him continue on Bible study I am not quite sure I believe from what I've heard they're online at have to look inside a little bit more but I did look at the church website and every adult. Legend programs I clicked on suspended for now or online but that's something I can look into so and I do want to go back cuz I missed a question about distant learning and somebody did put it in if you choose just at learning at the beginning of the year you are not locked into that if Abby engineer you choose that cuz you're nervous about what's going on are you just turn around and wait and see you transition to in person learning your we would just chat and figure out a time that it would work well for the transition out today possibility however we don't want students to like distant learning this week in-person the following week this is not it's kind of like kind of need to decide and not going back and forth up obviously if something happens in your life play where there is someone that may have been exposed to cold that's different but otherwise McKenna basically I think it'd be very confusing to the trial not knowing they're going to go to school. or even if you start in the classroom and you decide you know what this is stressing me out you can go to just learning but what will work with you this is crazy these are crazy times and we just want everybody to be comfortable with their decision Lenox Park communication with school be informing about colbeh doubt break Middle School on a daily basis and what is the prevention plan first of all I pray everyday that I will never have to inform you of a covid if there is no outbreak yes that definitely be communicated we won't be sending out a communication on a daily basis if there's nothing to communicate if there is a positive test dummy does test positive student or staff some communication will be sent out we're still working with the lawyers as to what we can say just to protect the person who has tested positive yeah but we are a small community and I know the word gets around fast one impersonal and we want to just be very transparent for all this. But sometimes we can't communicate things legally so we will do what we can and the prevention plan basically that's reopening trying to prevent any cases the best we can and then but with everybody's help wanted a good job lanius questions when was when will class lists be posted so we know how many students will be in the classroom really hard to make a decision without this knowledge example 15 students are so much different than 25 another person asked class list last witless well what class will class lists include students learning from home so we get a worst-case scenario great I think that's what's really hard is until we know what you want to do we can't really make a class list so we really need you to fill out the survey so we know what people are thinking we can make class list of kind of kind of the whole thing would come what comes first the chicken or the egg so yeah that's why it's important it's like if you have more questions after this session all the answers to the question questions if you still have questions please talk to me because we really do need to know who's coming for in school learning who wants to distance learning and I know some families maybe trolls that choosing homeschool cuz they don't like the unknown but we really need to know that cuz it's hard for us to plan without knowing how many students are doing what so it's been hard that way so can families make different decisions for students in different grades yes so if you have one student that for some reason you feel would be doing better was distant learning alabanza do better in school or homeschool restaurant when you go to the survey that I had sent out you can do that you can you're going to you're going to let us know for child what your plan is so then we know and then we can plan for that the next one how effective is a new HVAC system for minimize call the transmission in maximizing air flow so we're not getting a new HVAC system because that's like I know hundreds of thousands of dollars but we're getting new filters that go in the HVAC system that will filter out if I was denied and to be honest I don't know all the specifics about that at all our facilities guy is one that's doing this and he be changed on a regular basis and what was put in the reopening plan actually one of our sick people who works for OSHA I sent her the specs and they asked me about it and I don't know how to read those texts I think she read it and she's willing to put the verbage in the reopening plan with more detail so you can refer to that and then but they will be timely manner this morning Channel 5 the morning show Good Morning America they were talking about where a teacher stands and where the ventilation is and how the ventilation should be like the return air duct you should be above them so if they would have anything it would go up and out of the room so I did talk to our to our facilities guy about that this morning and and he said how that yep that's the way ours work and he's ordering more of the return duct things so we'll go through the classrooms to figure out where the teacher use stands to teach and he said we can Adam throughout the room so that'll help you know if they are slowing going and getting y'all if a teacher was automatic or was carrying the virus there's a better chance of it not transmitting cuz it'll go up and through the filter and and be filtered out so precious turn up here to side after awhile they kind of disappear so let me make sure I got them all extracurricular activities will be talking about in a second what social distancing be encouraged on the playground we will encourage it but it's really kind of hard to keep children of hard we will do the best we can guess your children have been with any other friends it it's really hard to become apart but you only able to do the best we can so not going to come back to the next one because Falcons dentist they ask about dropping care and it's kind of the same as in the past where if there's room at the schedule be handled by 1 months and if there's room we could possibly do drop off but it all depends on if there's like in the past and then next thing is to howl Falcons be affected by these changes will there be a new program offered I will plan on offering about the best program we've hired a coordinator and what assistance I can work 3 days a week so we're still looking for listen to work the other two days and there's a few people out there that we are talking to about that the students and staff will need to wear masks at falcon's nest and they will be more social social distancing in falcon's nest just because the kids are coming from the different classroom so we want to try to keep everybody safe I think I talked about that one somebody asked about the security plan with every Everybody entering the building with mass will there be priests the Securities all gas will still need to go to the know how she got so you don't know who's going to get it next where it's going to come from y'all so we just wanted take all the precautions we can yeah that are reasonable and try to still give these kids a great education date with her friends but we really need to work together we really need to see that All Saints family that I know you guys and I can do it you know and I'm not saying that there and we can mitigate 100% you know everything but we are going to do our best because we truly care for all your children and we want them to be happy healthy and it's cool but we're going to try
