Math Masters

Math Masters began as a fifth grade math competition program in 1989 and expanded to include sixth graders in 1995. It has grown from 44 schools participating to 5,000 students currently attending.

Math Masters is designed to promote excellence in critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities as well as provide recognition to students for academic effort and achievement. The students qualify for Math Masters by completing a selection test provided by Math Masters and teacher recommendation.

Students compete as a team as well as individually. The students compete in a Fact Drill and a variety of math problems.
