it now I can't get started very excited to have you join us tonight even though we'd rather see you in person can I get this is what it is right now and we're just happy we stay be able to do it this way like we do everyday at all seeds we will begin in prayer here you do have the prayer with you and your little packet I will just read it we've tried to do prayer over if you ever tried it it just doesn't quite work what a bunch of people are trying to say a prayer all together it just is not insane do different internet speeds in different things so if you just like to follow along in the name of the father the holy spirit amen Chad source of all life thank you for the blessings you gave us when you entrusted us with your children we have tried to live up to your expectations it is not for us but for each of them that we pray care for them and your great kindness and Supply the blessing of your protection in the name of our love keep them along the path of life are you from evil and make them always strong happy and loving in The Mists of the rich opportunities of Life made a count on your powerful help every day as we pray for our own . we also are praying for them in total confidence we place them under your Divine parental care amen in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit amen again thank you for joining us and I don't know if I mentioned I'm Carol Marguerite and the principal at All Saints Catholic School and again we're just glad we're here and to share about our wonderful so just start out with how to figure out how I can advance this on I may need help Susie NJ imprisonment mode if you put down at the bottom on the far left side the little arrows that's why I dated we haven't done this in so long and I I've ever done a slide presentation via I will let the teachers introduce themselves so this is meth if you'd like to go first I am through this method and I've been teaching at Allstate 16 years or so and I just really love kindergarten so about 12 years ago and 13 years ago and it really is a wonderful place to be and I'm Jennifer Olson and this is my fifth year teaching at All Saints my children have gone through All Saints and so I before where I taught it since I was the parents that was volunteering all the time and so once they got older I decided hey I should be a teacher here and so I actually got the kinner and job when it was open so awesome very good Ginuwine so I'll cease Catholic School one of the things that I'm hoping that Julia or it is drying you two are small as our Catholic AJ Lee it is the foundation of our school prayer is one of the important things that we do it throughout the day we have a weekly mass in his family on Friday sometimes I guess Wednesday or if there's a holy day during the week will have it on Thursdays but otherwise Friday morning is when we mass and currently we have two masses we have half the kids going Tuesday of the other half on Friday but hopefully we're going to be all back together next fall God willing I'll get it all seasons in second grade when they're preparing for those important sacrament of reconciliation and their First Holy Communion they do have additional preparation in the classrooms with that so during the various events throughout the year Evan Christmas lent we do a few extra activities to teach him about that so he is one of the most important part of our are Craig Lamont feel we do have a very strong curriculum and faith-based we can incorporate our religion our face throughout the day it's not just in our religion class that we have y'all religion last four days a week and then Mass on the 5th day but it's something we can incorporate throughout the day throughout the various curriculum areas so and we're very proud of that just quick picture of what's the size of All Saints is currently our preschool through eighth grade where 423 kids and the sign that's funny exchanges slide earlier now it's just but anyway it is about we do currently have two classes in kindergarten through 8th grade this year we do have a smaller 7th grade class this year but do the covid-19 let him up I'm currently the average size actually is 20 students and the range is still about 15 to 25 it just kind of really depends on the year so that's kind of where we're at now the lot of families obviously will wonder okay what's the class I was going to be this fall at this time we have twenty-four siblings and we have quite a few people interested in kindergarten so I'm assuming we will be at 24 students per class we also do an addition to our two wonderful teachers we do have a classroom aide who is in kindergarten all morning long that's mrs. gold armor so she also helps and hopefully next year we'll have a word Mission Partners back at school with us to help out a time we also have a skills and enrichment teacher who comes in and they work with students who need a little extra Molex reteaching of some of the Concepts to get a grade level and they also work with those students who are above grade level so we do have a lot of people that help out in various ways to get that smaller smaller groups yelling in the teachers of talked about that a little bit later so why choose All Saints Catholic School while there's many good reasons but for tonight we have a special guest guess what listen speaking of but Joe and Katie Epson are here just talk to you about their decision for choosing All Saints and what they like about Alsace I see I'm going to hopefully everybody else can see Joan Katy if you want to go ahead and Joe so we are the typical both of us went to Catholic grade school Catholic High School catholic College Soca scores at Spencer ingrained in our personalities and it was something we wanted it from the start for both of our boys however as everybody knows it's that cheap insulator something we looked at with the pricing and we were coming from a very good day care system it was one of the Early Learning Centers in town and then very very good in both boys were catching on with scored very well however even with that being said we always there was something missing and frosted main reason why they are at All Saints who God was missing you could just feel that at least we could compare to when we would go to All Saints for church or headaches worst or met Miss adults and mrs. Smith and I'm sure I can answer the phone. They teach for the same reason we send our kids there because Christ is there you still reading the score and it hasn't down one bit perfect for our oldest birthday last year I had to make All Saints church and school as a birthday gift for him be happy about it we've been very pleased with academics are there was never anything we are worried about we have been more than Blown Away with how centered it is on Channel 7 for the capital and Brendan Christ and God computer lines in fact they have brought into our lives eating more at home knowing prayers that we can recognize they knew our youngest and preschools burned out that works going well stop already but he did and they both know grace before meals and another great thing for us that they're sharing this with their friends cuz we see the way they interact with their friends at school and their friends talked about and that is really blowing up because when I was in grade school going to Catholic School it wasn't like that we didn't talk about it that much outside of score when we got together with friends and they are and the kids loved it and you see how much they love it and I think it's beak how much do teachers like mrs. Smith and mrs. Oleson and they make sure is in the kids lives and in their identities and another great parts for us has been as well as that it's nice meeting other parents who share the same thoughts and same to use on it religion is we do and it's helped establish some great friendships for us so far and find some dead so I'm talking about real there is openness to be and it's nice not just seen him at school but out in town or at church so just a couple really really nice things for us. I love the small class sizes at all so it's small enough where everyone knows each other's name like cheers the bar but when Joe arnoldus went to visit off Shadow a kindergartener I really noticed when you're walking to the halls but everyone said hi to each other Carole you probably know every student snake it's just it's really to see if it's nice it's a small close-knit family and you really get to know the other parents this year has been obviously hard with all teams has really good about his parents are always looking for volunteer with in the classroom Mission partners and it's so cool to be in the classroom and see mrs. Olson and mrs. Smith teaching like we lost volunteer I wish you would have done it more but it's just such a graceful I can't tell you how much I love it and our kids love it this week it was our oldest birthday and he actually asked if he could go to All Saints to their after-school program so it just it speaks volumes how much they love the school all-star boys and even some of our friends kids were upset the first couple Saturdays when school started that they couldn't go to school and it's also how many of the upperclassmen know the younger kids in kindergarten show says hi and bye to the upperclassmen they know them by name and really really nice and also you'll see pictures online otter going in classes once in awhile and sitting to do with a coating classic at the year before before oval heads and it was also really nice thing they brought them monstrance to the hallways and all the kids were doing it. expectations how much they love Christ in their everyday lives at school and then the friendships that they form a note another good program does does the reading the dog program you guys still open to do that next year we go back to the dog last year who loved it and a friend of ours is in kindergarten now and love it it's just been fantastic awesome we will continue on and now we're going to talk a little bit about the program so I'm going to switch slides presentations and the kindergarten teachers spell talk a little bit about program alright so we start our day with free time we do feel that play is an important part and the social aspect of kindergarten is very important to do so everyday we start with free free play it's a little different and that we can't have large clothes groups like this picture but only by next year will be back to pictures like this and if Carole mention religion is a part of every part of our day and we do have a designated religion curriculum that we do and we do that for days a week and on the 5th day we attend our school as a school Community we also have the opportunity of going into the atrium to do catechesis of the Good Shepherd and religion is just it's it's a piece of art hey but it's also a part of our entire day because we incorporate it all day long not just during our designated religion time the dance I did a Vance more than just the date the month of the year includes counting and includes and weather for helpers that are the leaders of this whole thing to the class the other helpers The Weeknd telling us you know them the number of days we been in school so they get to practice public speaking during calendar time and just so much more so much more than just you know and I forgot to mention if you do have any questions I think we'll just come if you wouldn't mind getting them down and then at the end will open up for questions this kind of thing cuz I can't really see people raising their hands and all that stuff will do questions at the end if that's okay okay and we do have snack everyday for the kindergarteners we provide the the food and they also have the option having white or chocolate milk with their snack everyday it's a fun time for them to not only have a little nutrition but also for them to socialize and chat with their friends run reading groups and group this is Austin would teach a group at a particular level I would teach one we bring in the skills and enrichment teacher she would teach one and we would have mrs. gold Amer helping out so we do differentiate reading level and on the skills they're at and we help them grow as readers at their own pace and then for math to use the math expressions and we use math as a way for us to talk about numbers since about grouping patterning all kinds of kindergarten math skills and part of the Mast we were talking about in the calendar we operate a lot of math in calendar time but also after we're working on our main math lesson we also do a lot of math games and the kindergarteners don't really realize how much that they're learning when we're doing our Master games if you were to walk by your classroom while they're playing these Math Games it might sound a little loud and crazy but they're actually learning and having a ton of fun but they don't really realize that they're doing a lot of math in that it's a great way for them to work on does math skills and we do on this is Margaret Touchstone this briefly and in her opening but we do offer challenge groups for those who are work above grade level in both reading and in math these groups might be facilitated by our enrichment teacher or wonderful parents that can like you hopefully we will provide all the training and and the activities with the tools that they need but we are committed to providing education to those not only at grade level or below grade above grade level and we do have lunch time everyday you have the option for the full day kindergarten to have they can choose a hot lunch which is buy mr. chin or they can also bring a home lunch if they would like and so if your child is staying for full-day kindergarten they have we'll have lunch provided after lunch we also have a recess time which we can go to the playground and have some fun with her friends then in the afternoons for the children who Stay full day they have the opportunity of seeing our special Art's Music fired Library we also have science class and social studies that we teach and this during that time we also allow for a small rest time so that they can come transition from going after lunch and recess to have a little downtime and kind of regroup before they get started in the next part of their day the teachers have been talking about the afternoon as a full day kindergarten or kindergarden we still do offer the half-day options so sometimes there are families who you know it's Mom's at home they'd rather have their child from home in the afternoon map Reading religion are all in the morning so they have the last week for the Core Curriculum type of thing in the morning and then if you choose that you want you don't have your kids there your child come home in the afternoon that is an option they can actually day for lunch and recess or they leave before the kindergarteners go to lunch and recess so if there's a little bit of flexibility there but then when they're ready to transition to all day when Mom and Dad are having Transit at home still buy the last year you can do it but they can transition to all day later on in the year house so that just a little clarification I get to teach science to both kindergarten classrooms and it's something I'm passionate about I left science so we actually teach a lot more than what the state of Minnesota requires us to T kindergarten science some of it is the same curriculum each year some of it I based on the interest of the particular class at the time oftentimes science is because science is some science doing decided science is his favorite part of kindergarten and he wants to Science Program volunteer / optional thing where you can work with your child at home on a particular science experiment or demonstration and classrooms it's another opportunity for them to get public speaking and I know mr. mrs. at Ensign you guys with the scientist thing that they can do in kindergarten part of the pictures cut off but the picture on the right is one of the little Kinder's doing a scientist of the ways to experiment so mrs. has a white lab coat that they get to put on and if something's May explode during the experiment she has diagonals that are really cute to that they wear so they can check their so it is it is a cool program it's amazing what these kids know and learn and what they apply to for future experiments when somebody else comes and does experiment mrs. Smith always ask me questions about why things happen the way they did in their spare students will remember something from a previous experiment and bring it up well whatever it means like it's amazing just they just such a little sponges are just so cool if there was a list of science SOL review in social studies overview a packet that was mailed to you I get to taste both classes social studies and the way we do this is mrs. Smith takes my kids twice a week for their half hour and she's teaching them science while I'm teaching her kids social studies and that way we get to cover social studies and science throughout the week should we do two science classes a week into Social Studies classes a week and when they are in my room for social studies we cover a wide variety of holidays government and like right now where do we just did a lesson on Martin Luther King because that's coming up its way kind of Base our social studies themes around the holidays as they fall throughout the calendar year and then we put in other topics along the way some of the highlights for them especially this year being a presidential election it was very fun for them to do their very own election and we did not vote for president we talked about the presidential election but in our classroom we voted for cats and dogs to see which one was the favorites and they got to go to the ballot Booth they got to take their voter registration card and exchange it for a ballot and then actually check the box that they liked and then they put it into the voter ballot and then we tell the map and made it into a whole math lesson counting to see which would win so and dogs 1 and then music and the afternoons we do have music twice week for half an hour each time and misses do sick does a wonderful job with music making it fun and it's amazing what they learn I mean they know the difference between a talk about Crescendo and it's amazing I guess you here at this year cuz it's in my classroom instead of in the music room so I'm just blown away by what she does they also do two live performances a year one before Christmas one in the spring before the end of the year and we have art once a week for an hour with our art teacher Miss Penny and she does a wide variety of teaching all different sorts of art they do painting and cutting and paper folding and it's amazing all of the things that she can get accomplished with them and fun to see what they do and it's just they're so excited when they come back in a normal year I take them to the art room this year she comes to our room just like in music and in years when we go down to pick them up from from art and they're holding their projects and they're all excited to see in there holding him up and misses him look what we made today in the so they are just so proud of what they make I had always ranks up there as one of their favorite and we talked about at the end of the year what was the favorite thing about kindergarten twice a week for half an hour each they learn a variety of skills and play a lot of fun games and activities so there are either inside or outside how to dribble a basketball and they play for hockey and they also do some Fitness skills and drills so it's a it's a good good time and we get to go to the library once the the kindergarteners are so excited that they actually get to check out one book each week as long as they return their books in the previous week they're allowed to take home another book and they're super excited to always check out a book then we do a variety of technology and the school so we have interactive whiteboard and we have iPad and we have computer class that starts in January and it is once a week for 40 minutes where they actually learn coding and they're also learn how to type keyboard in kindergarten it's amazing technology is always changing and in our in our school Carol does a beautiful job of keeping up with the latest technology and making sure that we as teachers are supplied with what we need I don't need to teach our classroom but to get into the hands of our students so they can use the technology as well so when am I very special opportunities is 5th grade buddies and in kindergarten we have the opportunity to pair up with the fifth grade chill or the fifth grade students and we pair one kindergartener with a 5th grader and they are the Buddies I will use the 5th graders help on Fridays when we attend school Mass and they sit with the kindergarteners to help them learn when to stand when to sit and be quiet keep their hands to their selves but on top of being able to help them in maths we also find Opportunities to play a game what are 5th grade buddies and interact with them and the 5th grade buddies Rita stories and as we're learning how to read we will read our stories to the 5th grade buddies so the kindergarteners have built these relationships with these 5th grade. and the engines were talking about how needed is to see the older kids when they see the kindergarteners in the hallway that they are actually calling them by name and part of that is the fifth grade buddy opportunity that we have that they see them and they want to give each other hugs and they just stayed love their 5th grade buddies and the 5th graders are so proud to be able to help the kindergarteners that's one of the things that my children when they were in fourth grade they talking about they couldn't wait until they were a 5th grader because then they would be able to have a fifth grade or a kindergartener buddy and they would get to be that big kid and so that's a very special bond that gets built between now and their buddies and it's not just during the kindergarten fifth grade year that those Bonds are there because then when they move on to first first grade and then the fifth graders are sixth graders they still come back and see each other and remember each other and look forward to that friendship set that was in kindergarten and we also have middle schoolers that come and they when they have availability in their schedule they will come down and help us in our classrooms help with whatever we need help with pencil play games with the kindergarteners there they'll listen to them read or teach them little Concepts that we are asking them to help maybe relearn a topic in the middle schoolers again they let all of the older children at All Saints love to come back to kindergarten and help and that's just a great it just warms my heart whenever the big kids see the kindergarteners because they're just so happy to help them along with that on the bus that's another thing a lot of times kindergarten parents are kind of concerned about putting their kindergartener on a bus but the All Saints older kids are so helpful on the buses to be able to help those kindergarteners get off the bus and get their classroom and it's just a great opportunity for the older kids to give back in service-learning is a huge part of our whole school have a variety of opportunities throughout the year in fact Catholic schools week is coming up in a couple of weeks whether it's writing letters to homes are the Frontline workers were going to write letters and cards this year to doctors and nurses at hospitals and it's just a wonderful opportunity we make that very important we view ourselves as the hand and feet of Christ in those little kindergarteners are very capable of doing wonderful good and the hands and feet of Christ here on Earth so field trips are a special time for us to go with the kindergarteners as you can see here there on the farm we've been going to the Donnelly farm for many many many years in the spa to be able to see the cows chickens all of the fun things that they have there and so that's when kind of staple that we've done for many years for the field trips and then there's usually a second field trip you do in the early winter and that can vary from going to the theater to the museum it just depends on that year what we decide on is it Susie yeah I was kind of touchdown that in the past on basic skills which is giving students that need a little extra boost extra boost so we have a teacher that comes in a group challenge whether it's the scientist of the week or the students are working above grade level on reading or math so we have someone that can come in and do that or we provide that in our classroom as well we also have special ed services if your child are other services that's provided by the lake has mentioned we do have reading therapy dogs and we're very blessed we don't have to share a reading therapy dogs with anybody we get them every week next week my program back up just as soon as we are able to have people enter the building again and I was going to talk a little bit about Mission partners and just for those of you who are unfamiliar mission Partners is the term that we use for volunteers and we love to have parents come in and help all throughout the day and like Susie had mentioned earlier that if you want to but you're a little unsure how can I what I don't really know what to do cuz I'm not a teacher we provide you with all that is needed and we give you instructions on what to do and typically what we asked you to do is work with a small group of show you can take them out into the hallway and play a game with them and then when those two finished sending back in and take two more and we kind of work through it that way there's also opportunities for Mission Partners to help at morning drop off when the chi are getting dropped off in the car line Mission partners are there to open the door say good morning to the children let him go inside the classroom there's also opportunities during lunch time for Mission Partners to come in and help in the shroom and out at recess so there's many opportunities and again we're flexible on schedule and you just need to let us know that you want to come and we will find something for you to do basically to wrap this all up in kindergarten our philosophy is that it provides an opportunity for your child to learn about themselves come to school a lot of them I'm sure we're ready to braid they find out how big and bold and that their little hands can make a difference in the world and they learn about the world around them and at All Saints we look at your child and we value them for who they are we don't try to stop them in and we don't want them to be any other than who they are we talked about how God made them special and unique and there's no one else like them and God made them perfect just the way they are so we we truly are centered at All Saints and what more can I say and then I'll Saints is a great place to be it's a great place for your child to be nurtured and build friendships and those friendships truly will last them a lifetime I have a son that went through all Saints he's now in college he's home from college and just yesterday he got together with one of his buddies but he go all the way through All Saints and he said to me you know mom he said we don't really connect during college being off at College if it will do you text each other don't you keep up and he's like no but he said when we do connect when we're back home he it's like nothing ever changed so that just tells me right there that the friendships that are built at All Saints they truly do last and it's it's a great place to send your child and I can talk as a parent procedure all sides of it it's just a great opportunity so we're looking forward to those all of all of those children coming in next year and meeting all of you and thanks for joining us tonight continue on into kind of piggyback on that my son's a little older than mrs. all said he is 30 years old and this past fall he was in the wedding of one of his All Saints Elementary they were here through 6th grade and 7th and 8th and went their separate ways for high school but can I get together once in awhile when North Dakota College meant to different cities live not too far from each other in the cities and yeah he was in his wedding this like this is like so crazy so it's very cool just one of the things these pictures up here is our uniforms so the students wear uniforms and then received a little booklet there is a page about the uniforms what boys wear what girls can wear type of things and this is expected to be in uniform eating everyday we do have once a month are out of uniform day where the whole school gets be out of uniform we usually have a spirit wear a day once a month and then we also celebrate birthdays of the month I'm coming up we will celebrate January and July will do the half birthdays during the year and then those to eat from them is where they can earn and out of uniform pass they become Priceless especially as they get older my household if I earned them for them I control them and use them when I need to toss them so that's a little bit about the uniform in the other thing school hours typical day starts officially they need to be in the building this year the hours are 8:05 and then they class starts at 8:10 and then they're just missed they leave about 2:25 so that's school hours for Eastern little bit earlier than we get down a little bit earlier to maybe I'll just take a little break here does anybody have any questions you can just unmute yourself and go ahead and ask whether question for myself for the teachers or for Joe and Katie so I have a question we're not Catholic but I am really the curriculum you guys have is so fantastic so that's why we're interested but my concern is when they're doing like the sacrament stuff is my kid going to be kind of pushed over to the side cuz he's not participating they will still participate they still will find the Catholic faith that we have students at All Saints that are Catholic and you know it's just a lot of yesterday about God and cheese Marianne What We Believe by day is it doesn't really every personally I'd love to know more about everybody's unique and different like mrs. Smith and and that's okay you know and even in second grade when they do go through reconciliation and first communion all the teachers are very sensitive that also way and there are students are not Catholic they won't be making the first communion but they still are learning about it and you know and that have mass they will go up and then I'll continue to get a blessing and that's one thing at mask so that the priest do younger kids go up first and receive the blessing and then they do communion and I use your point out to families who are scalp with that or if I had teacher mr. Thorson is not so he is not he going to number to mass with us every Friday he goes up gets his Blessing so the students can see it's okay not everybody is receiving communion en you know so it really hasn't been major issue any other questions before we go on a few more things but Sensei what's the best thing for Farmington looking like in on the packet is said I'm sure right now I really don't what it means Memphis to Brightest steadily going down so it's something we can't promise at this time can you explain any after-school programs after that 25 but if we continue okay we will be talking about that in a little bit then we'll come back and if you have any other questions so okay so we'll continue and then we'll come back to that question just some of the services we have as they mention all the teachers mentioned earlier we do have hot lunch program that the sewage system in the morning they let the teacher know if they want a hot lunch or not that is a separate charge you just put money in the lunch account and I'm going to go through the line they punch in there for digipen and acri cards at the morning milk program is I can't remember if it's a federal or state funded program that provides the milk for that and then nothing's the same thing when I touch down a little bit later if you're within the Lakeville School District they are required to provide us by saying so at this time, busing works is the students on the bus on the high school neighborhood bus they go to either north or south and then they get off that bus and they get onto a shuttle bus and then the shuttle bus Springs and Charles St at the end of the day they get on the shuttle bus at all saying and then they go to Lakeville north south Maguire and get on their neighborhood by All Saints students there's their seats are in the front together and like when the teachers and mentioned earlier we do buddy them up with an older student to I'm at the end of the day just to make sure they get to the right bus and then also we do have staff at those transfer points for like the first week to two weeks to help them make sure they're transferring rights and the kids after a week so usually don't don't need help a very independent so and then we can of briefly touched on 192 that's Farmington that quite sure how how it's going to work so going to have to do a do a survey just to see how many families we have that are committed to riding the bus to go from there and all we do have a list right now please can you put a Google sheet what parents if they wanted to race car pool put in their names put in their addresses so you know we can't we cannot organize the carpool then we're liable if something happens during the we can let you guys share your information and then you would connect we kind of talked about special education being through the Lakeville schools are Uniform Company Educational Outfitters there are but they do come to All Saints near the end of July beginning of August to just make it easier for parents to purchase the uniform this past year we used to having a uniform mixture at the same time as the sale but we can do it this year so our PTO sent set up a Facebook page and it worked out really well so parents just would post something on Facebook other parents would see it and they would connect and exchange the uniform so I'm sure I believe that's how they're going to continue and we are a preschool thru 8th grade to our middle school starts in 6th grade and what wonderful thing about arm is the teachers work as a team they meet twice a week beyond our normal faculty meeting and they meet as a group and they sit down and talk about the students cuz the students y'all six or seven different teacher the day to save a math teacher in language arts in Spanish and religion teacher so they have a lot of different teachers throughout the day so they meet together just if anybody has any concern they can bring it out then you know and just talk about it worked through it in so they really keep a close eye on the students and help them out and once a week normal times again they have Falcons time Falcons talk in their mascot or Sports mascot the whole Middle School meets together as a group and actually divide them up so we'll have the table there's like two 6th graders to 7th to 8th graders and a different class plans Falcon spell Consignment and they'd sometimes they do a little game some kind of activity just to get the middle school students turned really know each other better just to be a little more community and they have a lot of leadership opportunities with them next I'm sure Middle School seems like a long ways away but it comes really quickly so we also have falcon's nest which is our before and after school care program and the touchdown that a little bit that Mark come up once called that on his birthday so we have a new coordinator this year in Salinas is so full of energy does so many fun things with the students so that is a program that we have to offer in case you know especially with our early dismissal we don't really have extra this year we don't have any students before school when you I ate a lot of families can one parent or the other could adjust their schedule a little bit so they don't have to have childcare beforehand but after school is very popular they come after school they can if they do a little story they have a snack they'll go outside and then also have a little time to work on homework use the extra glitter that we are talking are that somebody had asked about so sports do start at 4th grade except for swimming that sounds like she in kindergarten and our swimming is ran through the Lakeville Swim Club Storm so they they all stay organized at all through store and as long as you your child can swim 25 they can be part of the swim team it's really cool to watch him and it's amazing how much they improve year after year it's just it's very cool School choir starts in 4th grade with band there is a fee for that right now is $200 with that they have a small group lesson each week and then they have large group lessons at least one and come see a band of 5th grade Bandits kindergarten through fifth grade Spanish club a chess club abrakadoodle African noodles and those are they start right after school and they last for about an hour Spanish club is ran by our Spanish teacher Middle School students senior Astros FC Nora will run Spanish club are the classes at All Saints can I get to middle school or once a year we try to either have a school play or a School Musical what's the last one we had was just amazing it was the kids dead it was it was our extra person musical because of the music teacher to take this over and then they also have a robotics class ran by a former parents kids are now through college I think but he still comes back to All Saints to do the Middle School robotics class which is awesome and then we also mr. Carson f i a teacher starting morning a please that's key so they come at 7:30 and 7:30 to 8 and they run and play games and get a little energy off before school LOL so I'm starting in little flowers call Grace and I'll say this offer I'm starting kind of depends on the interest so and little flowers is a faith-based we're getting tonight Seattle we're almost done here so one thing that's kind of important just to let us know if your child does have any special needs we yell it is good to know that so you know we have students coming in and I Preston all that had a time that's very important so we can get that coordinated so things Services can start when school starts so that's very important the tuition in the book with the first question will be in the little book that you got and generally there's a 3% increase from one year to the year to the next for next school year has not I figured that out at this point so in the only other additional cost there is a kindergarten see a $40 and that's he covers their snack everyday throughout the year to parties and a memory book that the teachers put together an awesome memory book for them to take with them this year there will be a half feet ABS Hazard switch an assistant management program tuition man program, and they're they're having some increased fees and we are some of those fees are going to be passed on to the families I'll save the bed has been paying a lot of them and they're getting to the point where it's like we need a little assistance and our only major fundraiser throughout the years marathon and generally parents are invited to come walk with us around the neighborhood around all saying and the last couple years the number of parents joined us has grown each year and it's been so awesome it was supposed to have this year community events and we have a lot of our main fundraiser PTO fundraiser is basically Culver's the once a once a month we have Culver's day in the parents go there and mention All Saints on that a certain percentage comes back to Allstate so we try not to do a lot of lot of fundraisers I'm just having the one main one UPS I'm sorry and then and then along with the tuition we do have financial aid that's something you want to see there is information also in the booklet about that you can go ahead and start filling that out now there's a lot of you know numbers you have to put clothes together for that but probably sooner versus later and I believe the deadline for priority is the beginning of March athletes with a put make sure we need to put numbers on these pages then I could refer you to a page so yep March 1st will be the priority for financial aid so that if that's something you're seeking you know please maybe start thinking about selling that out and then preschool screen you should have received in your packet the contact information if you're late Bill resident the only highly encouraged that families do the preschool screening if you are not in the Lakeville School District area just contact your local school district and they'll be able to help you out so let's see I think that's all I'm a little there was one thing that popped up in the chat when you were talking about busing someone's asking about adult help with the little ones when you were on the busing topic so at the beginning at All Saints we have we don't get the kids on the bus but we do Para em up with an older students but the first week or two of school we actually have also staff at the schools where they transfer to help them transfer just to make sure they getting on the right bus and help him with that so whoever asked that question was that did that answer I think the family that answered it I think they just signed off so that we can do you know to help you and you can please let us know what happens. What what's the next step so the next step if there's something that you don't probably kindergarten or else leave school what's your grandchild there's a blue card in your pack the intent to register card and that's hard needs to be turned in by January 29th by 3 so whatever cards we have at that time they will have priority over any any cards we received after that at this point we have a lot 24 siblings that are kindergarteners so there's about 24 spots for new families so and then once those cards are turned in what can go through them and then there is a criteria we are all sins prisoners priority and that's also in the booklet priority over 9 I'll see his prisoners or and so there's a little priority that we go through so we look at the cards and prioritizing if we have more cards than open spots any additional yeah we go through the priority type of thing than the additional ones are putting the lottery and I'll wait list is if you end up on the waitlist you know please don't worry there every year there's always movement some people will put it in there and take it okay I think what they want but then they change their mind or he said families that we also there's always a little bit of movement there so but the first step is turning it in in the letter you received earlier there is through the Catholic School Centerville text Lance is the organization that supports us so much they are offering a $250 tuition grants for new kindergarteners there aren't you there are some stipulations scooter parts are you guys the first step thing would be to have the intent to register card returned on time once we know what we figure out Yahoo have secured a spot letters beginning of February if you have secured a spot registration will need to be completed within probably about two weeks time. And this will all be in the letter and then the $250 and Grant will be applied in the fall probably October November when we receive the money from Cisco it'll be applied as long as the intent to register card was in on time and registration was completed within the time that was requested so even if you get the intent to register card in you don't get a spot right away you could still be eligible for that tuition Grant if we offer you a spot then you'll have probably like 2 weeks to fill out the registration information with you sometime you'll be eligible for the grass otherwise there's another question in the chat I was going to get out of just choosing full day versus half-day kindergarten make a difference in priority nope not for kindergarten it does that for that I'm trying to get my screen back to normal and I can't I know that does for preschool for all saved it is the same tuition whether you go half day whether you choose half day or all day is it it's taking a spot that used to be when I first text I touch it or not at all saints for 18 years before I became the principal so kindergarten has a little special place in my heart and there wasn't that used to be a slight break but it really wasn't anything significant so they ended up deciding to get rid of that just because the child is taking up a spot so I think I stopped at a stop sharing any other any other questions you can either put how much at a nutrient and self and lunch timer guys not a big milk Drinker other than chocolate so if we would have juices if it was a milk allergy and then actually we have lactose-free ice cream welcome to bring their own to bring their own once they can do if your child was juicing yeah okay there is chocolate milk available every day to so that is they have white chocolate is available I was just thinking I was just thinking chocolate milk during snacks and stuff and a lot of times that happens where the Kinder's will be told that and they'll come in to sign up for their snack milk and they'll be like Mom said that I had to only have chocolate milk with lunch let me bring a water bottle and they have that sitting at their table spot and so that we just encourage them to have their water during snack time that's something they have to enroll at beginning of year can then jump into that during the school year three different sessions different sessions Spanish General two sessions but the other ones are usually there's usually fall one of winter one in Spring one there like 6 to 8 weeks for each session depending on depending on the activity just getting adjusted to school maybe skip fall and then and Winter Springs going to jump into Summer Bus first if you like something or not these look like on some of those extra curricular describe the range and I'm trying to think Club is usually eight eight sessions 75 or $80 went out there doing a virtual one where they're going to deliver the kids to school and send the kids home and then do it over resume how do you say abracadabra variety of things yeah I think you know there like 9 to $10 okay thank you with falcon's nest tuition Falcons death what how that works is the month before the coordinator of send out a calendar for the month and you just go through the calendar like okay I need Aftercare Monday and Wednesday this week and I need it Tuesday Friday next week and all the following are busy we need to 5 days a week I need a calendar just have to be turned in at the 15th of the previous month just so they can make sure they have their drop-in you just have to call and find out if there's space because there is a 1 to 15 ratio so if there's 30 kids already and you want to add your child they may stay hotel no just because of the rain you know you were saying about I hope I'm not hogging expensive you were saying about prioritizing and weight loss potential of weightless and and I was wondering about some of the criteria other than we've been prisoners that I'll dance other than that though what it felt like that's not on the blue card when I noticed it was on the packet but it actually is the most prestigious more if they are on the way things are first and then second priorities Catholic School the Catholic preschool or spoon-fed in the face and that are in the faith enrichment program so that's that then the remaining ones it would it will depend on how long you've been a freshener dental implants hard in the priority he's been preschool screen door ready that's not in the way any other questions either for us or Katie and Joel as a parent and he parents questions what's the cost to do right right after school it's $17 before school it's 12 the after-school the longer amount of time because it's from 2:30 to say you can be there till 6 in the morning it would start at 6:30 it's like 6:30 to 8 in the morning they would get breakfast and then the afternoon they say it's a longer. Of time and they'll have a snack during that you do the drop-in right I think it's just jump up to box if they are capacity I think it's 19 from the 17 so it's learning right now as well just been very convenient nice which one help families on during the statistical learning thing how much homework is there for kindergarteners teachers just that we do send home with kindergarten homework packet every week and it's just half sheet at all together for the whole week but it is also optional so we provide the opportunity for homework we believe it since it's just another way to practice the skills for working on in school and also helps the parents what we're working on in school cuz I know for a fact not all papers make it home so I just sat in the dark on that but it's not a lot of but you can have as you can use as much of it as you want or or or not we also do spelling and Home in kindergarten so I you get a spelling test there's five or six words they're all from the same word family so they might need cat bat hat rack bat and we send that home and we ask that they practice that because spelling really help with the reading and the writing piece of kindergarten kindergarten reading and the writing you forgot about the best part of the homework is that when they get to Reed's the reading therapy dog books get sent home a few days before the dog arrived and they we asked them to practice reading the two books that we sent home and their books that are at their level and so they practice practice practice at home more than we expect them to because I want to be reading it perfectly for the dogs and some point the dog I have one more question so my daughter already has an IEP plan Reserve where how do I notify you of that and how does a special at work then advised me that people School District does it do they we come to the school or you busting them to their their school so they used to come to our school for speech and that change this year educational anything educational or social did you get past to Cherry View speech they go to Crystal Light this year has been I'll be as a so that's probably a better plan busting them over to Crystal Lake for 20 minutes and busting them back it'll take an hour out of their day for a 20-minute speech so they do get transported to the public school and it's time they try to work with us schedule why so if they are in special ed for reading that it's during like reading time at all save but nothing's promised so I keep henna unfortunately we're kind of at their Mercy but is it a Lakeville IEP are they are you in Lakeville originally were evaluated in Leesville she's actually going to the Apple Valley Eagan Rosemount School District teacher is okay they told me a whole conversation in Mike met with lethal range and and they figure it out and usually goes it is very smooth can you talk a little bit about what your schedule was for the current school year that were in were you in class or you distant learning did you do a hybrid or are you following the Lakeville School District or how are you doing that 5 days a week from the beginning of the school year and we did go to distant learning a week before Christmas in 2 weeks after and that was more due to we start seeing families pool are kids out because they wanted to quarantine them before the holidays and they so they switched him to distant learning and then also the seven the teachers are getting a little nervous cuz we're hearing all the other kids they were going to be distance social distancing and yeah we just thought I'd this way people can you know they can quarantine for 2 weeks cuz we have like the week of Christmas off all so they can quarantine 2 weeks they can go Grandma they can go hug Grandma they can't you know and see the relatives of whatever they felt comfortable with and then you know same look like new years if they're going to be with family and then we have two weeks after that you can go back to the quarantining and then I'll back to doing and then come back to school during the first three and a half months that we were in school we did not have any confirmed transmission may pass some we have cases but nobody we just have any confirmed transmission of those cases so our students who are mass and we also purchased a desk plastic dust shield for each student that's on their desk and we keep the kids in the classroom self like mrs. Miss students do not play with mrs. Olson students even when they go out to recess we teach us how to sign up for areas outside the one day they I'll be on the playground one day to go to be on the blacktop playing games one day there y'all made it on the soccer field so we we've kept the kids within within pod so we did have you know there was case weather was pierce had covid-19 the kids end up getting it and so treat we did quarantine 3 classes but the teachers went to just stated just putting together no one no one ended up getting so bad you know from any of those students so I can wash hands a lot of hand sanitizer the students in the class they don't go down to the lunch room mrs. Smith I believe I mentioned how the music teacher comes into the room music and art come into the classroom versus then going to another room where other kids have been so we've really been trying to keep them in quarantine get out but then they go out to recess every day and and this is arson luckily we had nice weather very late in the season was able to keep them outside for Fayed versus have so it's been his phone's been gone fairly well sweet hope after Christmas at things well hopefully every other cases going to settle down a little bit more and we can have more success so so pretty full-time 5 days a week we do not have an early dismissal on Wednesday but that's the strength to leave at noon and that's more for teachers to prep because we they are doing in person and distant learning so this this year we gave parents the choice either one so we have some students distant learning so yeah it's been a little stressful so thank you we have felt completely safe and comfortable with our boys going to school it's second nature for them and we seen with their friends they have a mask on all day they put their masks on wonder in a car are the parents helping with drop off at ready space down the pants up mask on and when we pick the boys up there so used to react take a nap. Become second nature for them and is triple said they're in their pod they work well with their paws do you know the classes don't in the next hour or so with a lot of their friends we have felt very safe with the boy awesome minute time slot that we have recess okay that I'm answering the next one says is mass on Friday beginning of the day or open to parents who would want to come assuming things are open in the box so yes we do mass at this year is at 9 previously was at 8:30 that me yeah okay there's a 7:30 Mass but they have so we couldn't have 8:30 because I need to clean the trash between so that's why I've been told me it'll go back to 8:30 next. And parents are always here so very welcome to come if a great man Theory fun and when the parents do it and they can't the children can go sit with their parents after starting in October so if you do come to the mass you can pull your child from the class Mass seating and they can come and sit with you so they always look forward to that ESPN timer we have tears any other questions I'm trying to think if we missed anything and what they intend to register cars if you if you currently have a preschooler at all saying you can send that card in with them get it to us or when you drop them off just give it to the person at the security desk or if you're coming in for math on the weekend give it to the person at the security desk there used to uncommon people know what they are we do this every year you don't have to make a special trip and if you're ready for something else another question what is the school policy regarding immunizations so they will ask for immigration records if your child hasn't been able to receive their shots there is a form that you need to sign I love I don't know if it's too late I can't remember the exact terminology there is a form that just needs to be sign lunch is well for kindergarteners the parole back in lunchroom what's the first graders go out to recess first then they come in and have lunch and it's very beneficial for very read various reasons because if they eat lunch first during lunch all they're worried about is going outside to recess so they do and then when they come in there one of the last groups in the lunchroom so they do get extra time so they get more like 25 minutes for the other classes are about 20 so they have extra time sometimes even more in 25 minutes to pass being so extra time for lunch time take another bite take another bite and we do kind of watch to try to watch to like it's a child not eating just let parents know too that hey you know this is all I ate today I don't know if they don't like it you know what's going on so we try to keep an eye on that too unless at ads question do you see it in the chat or do you want me to read it to there isn't a day that might be the deposit I have to see if that's in here there's a $250 non-refundable tuition deposit so we as parents delete put you under $50 anime please please more to show a commitment that yes you are going to be there in the fall just cuz in the beginning of June that's when we start ordering all the supplies for the fall that $250 is credited or toward your first tuition payment so it's not like my additional amount over tuition it's part of the twist does that make sense yeah I just thought I'd it kind of sounded like it was like a fetal be part of the tuition so that's what I was trying to figure out yeah it's just it's just it's in mid-may that it's just doing just kind of and that's when you snap your tuition agreement also when fan an agreement is minmei where you you sign up for you say Okay I want to pay my tuition over 10 months or yep I'm going to pay it by July 1st and then there's apparently there's like a dollar discount if you pay in full by July 1st so that's when you pay that $250 deposit assistant deposit any other questions do most people do up for the the Tempe Missouri on quite a few people do there also is quarterly I think maybe twice a year so that there's a few different options with are you want to pay the tuition the first tuition payment is in July so the tuition payments run July to April to a had and then maybe we'll just be the $250 deposit we have to pay that in there and there's nothing so you can celebrate that Ma and then it starts all over again so that's kind of how that works if you do the 10 months payments and you can set it up where it automatically comes out of your checking or savings account whichever whichever one you choose and the credit card there is a fee for that I think is about 3% and if you choose to pay by credit card with that is an additional cost to the families if they choose credit card any other questions is at 11 I think if there's any other questions in the Passover really common but I think he became cover tomorrow yeah we always invite families to come in for a visit to still more than welcome to do however it would have to be after school hours which is kind of a bummer.
